Bi-component polyurethane waterproof coating belong to bi-component chemical reaction solid waterproof material. Component A is prepolymer of end sealing isocyanate generated through polycondensation of polyether and isocyanate, and component B is colored liquid comprising plasticizer, curing agent, thickening agent, coagulant and filling agent. Component A and component B should be mixed evenly and brushed on the waterproof base surface. After curing under a normal temperature, a rubber-like elastic coating will be formed, which plays a role of waterproofing.

Product features

Bi-component polyurethane waterproof coating can form an integral elastic waterproof layer without seams after curing, which can improves the waterproofing and water seepage control abilities of construction engineering. Such an effect cannot be realized with rolls. Especially the coating is of high strength and extensibility which enables it to adapt to base cracks or stretch well. 

It can adhere to the base layer firmly. Strong adhesion can be achieved between the waterproof coating material and concrete, timber, metal, ceramic, asbestos tile, etc. And it can also serve as an adhesive. 

Construction is also simple. Polyurethane coating is waterproof coating applicable to cold construction. Operators only need to mix component A and component B in a certain proportion and then brush the mix onto the waterproof base layer. 

And repair can be carried out simply. Only the local broken part needs to be repaired, and the original waterproof effect can still be achieved after repair, which saves time, labor and expenses. The product is environment-friendly. It has little smell, reducing impacts and harms to people and the environment. It is an ideal alternative of tar polyurethane.

Construction methods

Base requirements: Level, firm and sufficiently dry (underground works should be free from obvious waterlogging); internal and external corners should be built into a circular arc. The diameter of the internal corner should be larger than 50mm, and that of the external corner should be larger than 10mm; 

Ingredients: Component A and component B are mixed in 1:2 according to the construction quantity and mixed evenly; 

Waterproof working with large area: The mixed coating is brushed evenly with a rubber or plastic scrapper. The thickness (1.5mm-2.0mm) should be the same. Coating should be brushed for 3-4 times. The next time of coating should be carried out after curing of the last time of coating, and the two times of coating should be vertical. 

Reference dosage of coating: 1mm; Approximate dosage for thick coating film: 1.5-1.7kg/m2 (2.4kg/m for 1.5mm thick coating); each film should be formed separately. For the floor of underground works, a layer of casing enhancement material should be added; 

Coating film thickness: For underground works, the coating film thickness should be 1.2-2.0mm, usually it is 1.5mm. For bathroom, it should be no less than 1.5mm. For exposed roof works with multiple waterproof layers, the thickness of each layer should be no less than 1.2mm. For roof with one waterproof layer of grade 111, the thickness of the waterproof layer should be no less than 2mm. When casing enhancement materials are applied between coating films, the thickness of coating below the casing should be no less than 1.0mm, and that above the coating should be no less than 0.5mm. 

Half header and edge processing: Increase the coating and seal; 

Protective layer: The coating waterproof layer surface should be provided with isolation protection as required in design, in case of damaged to the waterproof layer of the coating.
